Step by Step Guide
Rail bookings via LOGiC are only available for UK rail journeys. If you need to book international rail travel please contact us.
Search for Trains
From the LOGiC homescreen, select the UK Trains tile to start your booking.
Enter the journey details:
- Select if you want a One-Way or Return journey.
-
Enter the station names you are travelling from and select them from the dropdown list. If you have previously saved a favourite journey, you can select it from the Favourite dropdown instead.
- Select the departure and return dates for your journey
- Select the times you want to search for.
- Select any additional options such as multiple passengers, rail cards, or stations to go via or avoid.
- Click Find Times & Fares
Please be aware that any cancellations and amendments will apply to ALL passengers on the booking. The passenger drop-down will be locked at 1 if your organisation has restricted you to only making your own bookings.
To book an open return, search for a return journey and select either an Anytime Return, Off-Peak Day Return, Off-Peak Return or Super Off-Peak Return. For more information, see How do I book an Open Return? .
Choose your tickets
A list of available tickets and times will be displayed. If you selected a rail card, you'll see the below symbol next to eligible fares.
-
Select the tickets you want to book. Greyed out squares indicate ticket types that are not available for that service.
- You can view the Ticket Info to see the stops, any restrictions and more information about the ticket you've selected.
- Click Continue when you've chosen your tickets and are ready to move on.
If your organisation has blocked 1st class tickets, you will be unable to progress with your booking and will need to select a different ticket type. Refer to your corporate travel policy for more information.
While usually the cheapest ticket, Advance Singles cannot be cancelled or refunded and can only be amended. If your journey is likely to change, it may be more cost efficient to book a flexible ticket. Refer to your corporate travel policy for more information.
Ticket Summary and Sustainability
Once you've confirmed the tickets you want, you'll be shown a summary of your Co2 usage for your journey and a summary of the tickets you've selected.
If the rail operator has provided Sustainability information, this will be displayed along with a link to their Sustainability policy.
Optional Extras
If seat reservations are available, you can select them here and you'll be able to enter seat preferences further along in the process.
Seating availability comes from the rail operator and may not be available on every journey or service. We'll request seats with your selected preferences, however this is at the discretion of the train operator and cannot be guaranteed. If you require a specific seat, please contact us .
Traveller Details
-
Enter the details for each passenger. If a traveller profile is available, type the Surname of the traveller and select their name from the dropdown list.
- If you selected seating, enter your or your traveller's seating preferences here.
-
Enter the required billing details such Cost Centre. These will be used by your organisation for billing and reporting and may be an entry you select from a list, or information that you type in.
