When booking more than one night, subsistence is calculated based on the most expensive night, not the average.
Even if the average rate appears within budget (e.g., shown with a green "in budget" button), the booking can still exceed subsistence if any individual night is over the cap.
Most of our suppliers (except Premier Inn) provide the average cost per night first, followed by a breakdown of individual nightly rates after a rate is selected.
Extras added after selecting the rate can also push your booking over budget limits.
🧾 Example:
Your budget limit is £85 and a rate is shown on LOGiC for £83.25 PRPN.
This is the average cost per night as provided by our supplier and is shown as within budget.
When you select the rate and move to the next stage, the breakdown is provided:
Night 1 at £87.75
Night 2 at £78.75
Because night 1 is over budget, the whole booking will be considered over budget - even though the average was within the limit.
When this happens, you’ll be:
Prompted to enter a reason for the over-budget rate, and/or
Required to seek approval before the booking can proceed.
