1. What is Pre-Trip Approval?
Pre-Trip Approval is an automated approval process that helps manage corporate travel policies within LOGiC, for example if booking a hotel outside of budget, or booking a Business class flight.
Pre-Trip Approval is available in LOGiC for the following services:
- Hotels
- Flights
- Trains
- Car Hire
- Taxis
Depending on your organisation’s travel policy, approval may be required for all these services, or only one or two.
2. Approval Requests
If approval is required for a booking, you’ll receive an email from LOGiC with the details of the request, including date, service, cost and booker name. Depending on your organisation's set up, you may also see the guest/traveller name.
A link in the email will allow you to action the request online and will automatically inform the booker whether you have approved or declined the request.
Approval requests are sent before a booking is made and approval will be needed before the booker can complete the booking.
3. Action an Approval Request
When you receive the request email, click on the link to review the request.
You’ll be taken to a summary screen where you can review the request details and decide whether to approve or reject it.
Approve or reject the request. If you reject the approval, you will need to provide a reason for why the request was declined.
The request will update on screen to confirm that the approval has been approved or rejected. The booker will now receive an email with an approval code (if the request was approved), or a reason for rejection (if declined).
